Things That Are Oddly Soothing!

We all have things that may see odd to someone else but we find soothing.

Like in the movie,”Get Him to the Greek” with the song and scene in the movie were they stroke a furry wall. Video clip is R rated.

  • Cleaning out and carving a pumpkin.
  • Folding and marking up magazines with items I want to buy, but won’t.
  • Tweezing hair.
  • Making a cup of tea.
  • Listening to the hum of the clothing dryer.
  • Breaking open a hot piece of bread.
  • Kneading dough.
  • The smell of gasoline.
  • Driving through the car wash.
  • Smelling produce.
  • Cracking the spine of a paper back.
  • Cracking an egg.
  • Brushing my teeth.
  • Putting my hands on a container of dried beans.

What odd things soothe you? Post in comments.

Beauty Product Review: DERMAdoctor KP Duty Body Scrub!

I absolutely love this body scrub, DERMAdoctor KP Duty Body Scrub!  It contains synthetic beads so they are uniform and won’t make microscopic scratches to your skin.  Glycolic, Lactic, and Azelaic acids help to smooth, exfoliate, cause cell renewal, treat body acne, and reduce pigmentation with repeat use.  Green Tea, Willow Bark and Algae Extracts help to calm the skin and prevent irritation.

When applying I use my whole hand that I have dampened and using only the weight of hand, no more pressure than that is required, glide upwards toward the heart in long strokes for about two minutes per body part.  Go clockwise in a circular motion on the stomach.  I like to leave the product on the skin for a few minutes to allow the Glycolic, Lactic, and Azelaic acids to work.

Avoid this product on your face and if you have very sensitive skin.

Follow with a moisturizer, applied while the skin is still damp.
